​A confessed culture vulture, Jonathan Barli earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the School of Visual Arts. He currently serves as the Art Director of Rosebud Archives, a company dedicated to preserving and celebrating the cultural heritage of the graphic arts. 



In addition, he is a filmmaker and writer, currently working on numerous projects, and has edited a dozen or so books. 



He has done work for Abrams, NYRB, Fantagraphics Books, Merge Creative Media, the Theodore Roosevelt Association, Ron Garofalo Photography, Manitou Productions, Branscome International, SPX, and others. In 2014 he was nominated for an Eisner Award for his book on Virgil Partch.
